Nature at its best!  Located just 11 km (7 miles) from Yarmouth in the village of Tusket, The Plum Tree offers guests a relaxing stay in a quiet country setting.  Come enjoy the many flower, water and vegetable gardens on the seven-acre property. Bird watch from one of our decks or just relax and read a book listening to the gentle sound of water from one of the ponds.   Our 140-year-old home is surrounded by trees, spacious lawns, and gardens that welcome many species of birds and butterflies.  There is a walking trail to the tidal Tusket River with a guide dog if needed (and he feels like it.) 

The village of Tusket offers many amenities, all within walking distance of The Plum Tree or a short drive away.  Two restaurants, a service station, Harley Davidson dealership, credit union, general store, post office and tailor are all located nearby, and Tusket is also home to the oldest standing courthouse in Canada.  While in the area, be sure to visit the many local craft shops, auctions and antique stores!  Our property abuts the 'Rails to Trails' walking/bike route, for safe walking away from vehicle traffic.

We have two large rooms, each with a queen bed, TV and phone & one four-piece bath shared by the two rooms. A full breakfast is included daily. On-site parking is available, and if you are traveling by bike or motorcycle we provide secure storage.
