I have a Timex Ironman Traithlon Sleek 50/100 (T54281) that lives up to its name–sleek. My partner needed a new watch, so I ordered this one so we wouldn’t have the same watch. When it arrived, I was a bit surprised at how big it is compared to the Sleek 50/100, and when he put it on, it was just too big for him (he’s only 5′7″ and I’m 6′0″), so I gave him my watch and kept this one. It took me a while to get used to the size of it, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. Aesthetically, I still like the Sleep 50/100 better, but functionally, I like it as much as I’ve liked any of my previous Ironman watches.
One thing I noticed about the Sleek watch that I hadn’t noticed on previous Ironman watches is that it is very easy to change modes when you bend your hand back like you might when lifting weights. Even though the size surprised me, one reason I ordered it was that I thought its bulkiness and protective protrusions Baume Mercier 8809 around the mode button might keep it from changing mode when working out. They don’t. Wear it while pressing a few pounds, and you will most likely change it from from one mode to another.
I only gave it four stars because the FLIX function requires you to really shake your arm to make the INDIGLO light up. It’s easier to just press the INDIGLO button with your other hand–assuming you have one and it is free.
If money is important to you, I’d recommend the cheaper non-FLIX versions. Otherwise, this watch is a great buy for anyone who likes Ironman watches, wants to save a little money over purchasing one in a sporting goods store, and doesn’t mind wildly shaking your arm to invoke the FLIX function.
I bought this watch to help me with the “Couch to 5K” (c25k) running program. This entails nine weeks of running three times per week. It progresses from a very easy start (first week starts with brisk five minute walk, then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes). Then the second week it’s 90 seconds of jogging, 2 minutes of walking, and so on, until by the end of it you’re running 3 miles or 20 minutes non-stop. It’s a nice program for people who are out of shape. So I wanted a watch that could help me time all this, and this model does the trick perfectly. It’s been a while since I owned a digital watch, and I’m impressed with how much thought has gone into the design. The little things jumped out at me when I started playing with it – for example, pressing the ‘Reset’ button will show in big letters ‘HOLD to reset’ while you have it pressed in, which makes it obvious how it works. If you know the general idea of how these things usually work, then you really don’t need a manual. Here’s a quick rundown:

I own three Omegas, two Citizens and three Seikos, but the little Casio Forester is the watch that goes with me into harm’s way. I work in very severe conditions–in the Middle East. You don’t want to expose a fine mechanical or even quartz watch to daily dust baths and searing desert heat. The little Casio has held up through the worst of conditions, and still keeps time to within 15 seconds a month of the atomic clock in Colorado. It’s highly water resistant, and so light you hardly know it’s on your wrist. Amazon sells this watch under $20. How can you complain about a rugged, accurate watch for under $20? I usually wear an Omega when going “out on the town,” but the Casio is my watch for the dust storms and being around things that could knock your expensive watch silly. My expensive watches will last much longer because I have sense enough not to wear them to work!
I picked this up from Walmart near the same cost. With all the watches to look through in the carousel, I kept coming back to this one. I needed something to replace a nice simple Timex that broke after a couple years.
The timex was great and still works but rendered useless as the light function / button broke. I now use it as a dog collar on my sister-in-law’s Chihuahua. (Now a true “watch dog”)
The selling points for me, seemingly durable, extremely comfortable, small but significant face, much less intrusive and bulky as compared to the old Baume Mercier 8685 dog collar. The light is fantastic and extremely bright. I even use it to light my path through the house at night without the need of turning on overhead lights. (going from sofa to bed without disturbing anyone)
The price and styling cant be beat. Overall, a fantastic durable, comfortable bargain of a watch. I will be wearing this 24/7 just as I did the old dog collar

I absolutely love digital watches!! Very practical to wear all the time. I rarely take it off. It’s also good for me, because I work in the health care and food service fields, where I wash my hands constantly, and don’t have to worry about my watch being in the water. It is also stays put when I’m playing with my two-year old son (I don’t have to worry about him breaking it either). I like the light on it, because when it’s dark, I can still see what time it is. When the watch came, it was already set (like 5 minutes fast), so I’m not late for anything!!! Even though this is a man’s watch (and I’m a woman), I still wear it! Ladies…the boyfriend watch style is in…
My husband like lightweight watches. I found this on Amazon Baume Mercier 8757 and bought two of them. I have the other one in case he loses the one he wears daily. The velcro strap is nice. He can pull it off quickly when he wants to play with our little girls. Then he won’t hurt them with his watch.
I bought this as a inexpensive watch for everyday use. I’m hard on watches (scratched crystal) and usually need new one before the battery dies. The buttons on this one are protected, therefore making it hard to press them easily.
I Had This Watch Since I Was A Sophomore In High School. I Am 27 Now, And It Still Works Great. I Never Even Had To Change The Battery. Easy To Use A Great Product For A Great Price. I Am Definitely Getting A Second One.

1. Shipping was done in time!
2. Watch looks good and is really original as confirmed by B&M repair shop.
3. Unfortunately watch does not work without failure (cronograph function is partially out of order). No international guarantee, as also mentioned in the description. Shipping back would cost $65.
Thus I gave the watch for repair to an original B&M repair shop: Cost: round $85.
Summary: Three stars!
I’ve had various incarnations of the Timex Ironman watches over the years. They take a beating and have great functionality. To me, this model has about the best practical value overall, being rather feature-laden without being overcomplicated. One distinct value of this watch over the “sleek” and similar models, is that it does NOT have an integrated band. Sure, integrated bands look cool, but if you wear the watch daily the band will start to break down after about a year and then you have to send it back to Timex for a new band. Not so with this watch. New users will have to take a little time to figure out the various functions of the watch, but once you get the idea, Baume Mercier 8444 operation is very logical. The stopwatch is great for training, having more laps at your disposal than you’re ever likely to need, multiple timers and alarms, and two time zones. These are also useful for training, but also just useful in general life (moreso than you’d think). In all, a solid choice for a digital sports watch, and an excellent value considering Amazon’s prices. Highly recommended.
This is the fourth watch I’ve bought for running since I began to need reading glasses for near objects, and its the only one that solved all the problems aged eyes cause a runner. The FLIX option is fantastic and worked without a hitch, and is easy to see at night. The buttons are easy to see and work, and become intuitive within an hour of strapping the watch on, even while running. Its even fairly attractive, as digital watches go. Most important is that the numbers are large, clear, and easy to read even when running through the desert — as an aside, if you ever get shin splints try offroad running, especially in deep sand: its easier on your legs, more effective as cardiovascular excercise and much more interesting. My only complaint (and its a small one) is that a digital compass would have been a nice addition for offroad runners, but I was able to fix that with a Suunto Clipper L Micro Compass (Luminous Bezel). Other than that this watch would get a five star rating, so if you run on the street, buy it.

I ordered this watch because I needed a stopwatch for my new job as a soccer Baume Mercier 8427 referee. I always buy Timex watches when I can, since they’ve proven to me that they’re reliable, and not to mention, cool. This one was no exception. I was especially impressed with the style; I wear often even when I’m not reffing. And for the price, along with the accuracy and style, this is all anyone can ask for. The resin band is comfortable and durable, and the numbers on the LCD are easy to read, unlike some watches. Although perhaps there are better watches with even more functions if you’re willing to spend fifty bucks or more, this is an excellent bargain. The other guys I reffed with enjoyed borrowing it from me, and now that the season’s over, I’m still loving it.
Purchased this for an anonymous teenage boy during a Christmas charity event at my church. So glad I was able to find a watch with so many features in the price range we were allotted (under $25) and the Indiglo function is an added bonus. Trusted the Timex brand for many years, so this was an easy decision. I am confident the gift recipient will get lots of good use out of this watch.
I bought this as a weekender, but it’s almost my favorite watch. It’s simple to operate — has all the basic features without having to go through multiple nested functions just to use a feature. Very accurate, as measured against my atomic wall clock. It’s large enough to be easy to read but very light – you hardly know you have it on. Easy to read at night with the illuminator feature. One note, the band is a bit large – mine’s in the last notch and it’s still a bit loose. It’s hard to imagine better value for the money. Casio builds wonderful watches at all price points, and this one is just great.

Love this little watch! Great buy for the price. The band is soft and easy to wear. The display is big Baume Mercier 8759 (perfect for a sports watch) and it is easy to set up (although it is a little difficult to push the buttons, seems like you have to push hard, but I guess that prevents it from being pushed accidentally). Indigo light is very cool as is the chronograph feature. Comfortable and easy to use! Let’s hope it stands the test of “time.” (Pardon the pun!)
I LOVE MY NEW WATCH!!! It works great! The colors go with everything I wear, and it’s very stylish. The only thing is that it’s a bit hard to remember everything in the instructions. But after the first 2-3 days, I remembered how to set the date, time, alarm, and use the stopwatch! Mine came with a little stand to put the watch on, and it’s very handy. I thought it was a very good purchase, and it’s inexpensive, too. It’s worth your [...]!
I like this watch, but I bought it to “time my workout” as was advertised that that was a function of the watch. I thought that meant it would have a stop watch feature, which it doesn’t. You can reset the seconds to zero, but unless you know what the time was when you reset to zero, you can’t time a work out.
Also, as most of the cutomer reviews have said, it was incredibly hard to program. I followed the directions step by step and it took me awhile to finally get the programing to work.
I’ve had three versions of this watch in the past three years. I like the style and the colors a lot. The water resistance is great, and the display is a good size and not too cluttered. The only problem I’ve had is that the strap tends to break every year, but since it’s not that expensive, I’ve just been replacing it with the same style every time.

I bought this watch from Watchery.com com couple of weeks ago. This is my first square watch and I love it. I have this in Mother of Pearl Dial not in Black. I would like to hear from other owners ofthis watch what they think. I am told this model has been does continued. Does anybody know about that?
I have a few watches either batteries are dead or broken. So I figure out that the battery must be last long in order to having Baume & Mercier 8255 a lasting watch. This watch has 10 years battery life fits my need. In addition, the back cap can be opened easily using a small screw driver. You can change the battery yourself if you are handy. BTY, this watch does not have the problem of accidental press reported by other users of different models since all buttons are on the top.
Some years back I bought two Casio watches with 5 alarms and 30 line data storage for tel numbers. Since they have served long and active lives and finally succumbed to mechanical damage and scratched lenses I’ve been looking for a replacement. The Casio DB-37H is what I’ve been looking for; the Wal-Marts and K-Marts don’t have them. Amazon not only had them but had a very reasonable price and free shipping! Naturally, I bought two of them!
I have used Casio Data Bank watches for years and love them. Not only do they keep good time they have so many other features that there is “a lot of bang for the buck”. I especially like the data bank feature so I can keep phone numbers, bank account numbers, etc. for easy access. That way that information is always with me. The only thing I don’t like abbout this particular model is that the AM/PM-24 hour button is too exposed. I prefer the AM/PM mode and quite often it is in the 24 hour mode because I accidentally touch the button. The other thing about all of the plastic Casio watches is the plastic part where the strap attaches will sooner or later break. I always buy a couple of extra watches to have on hand.
I had bought the older model DB36-1AV 7 years ago only to find that the buttons on the side was inconvenient for me. This watch has the buttons on the front which eliminated my wrist from unintentionally pushing the buttons. It has 5 alarms, 30 page data bank, stop watch, count down timer, dual time, daylight savings, auto light-on with a flick of the wrist (can be turned on/off), 50M water resist, and 10 year battery. I have an older 10 Year battery Casio which is 7 years old and it’s still running on the same battery, original band still intact, wore everyday. This watch is one of the most rugged watches that I’ve ever owned.

The Nautica Men’s NSR-04 Watch features three unique subdials for enhanced utility. Constructed with a stainless steel case, the timepiece includes a stationary stainless steel bezel and a durable black resin wristband with an adjustable buckle clasp. A tough mineral window shields the black dial, which features bold white hour markers capped with white Arabic numeral indexes that clock the 24-hour time cycle. The dial also includes white minute indexes and three white subdials that track the seconds, day, and date for precise timekeeping. Powered by analog-quartz movement, the watch is water resistant to 330 feet.
I bought this watch because I liked the case. It Nautica N13540G is a nice substantial watch with a distinctive bezel. But, what I like the most is the fully analog display. It has time, (obviously!, on the main dial), date, seconds and day sub dials.
For me, the red lettering is bit difficult to distinguish against the black background. But, being that it is analog, I can figure out the relation of the angular position intuitively.
I have about 20 watches and this one has become my current fav.
It gets lots of comments when I am out wearing it.

I wear this watch all day every day including while wakeboarding and many other high impact land and water sports. The resin band is perfect since it dries instantly so you don’t walk around with a wet strap the way I did with my old fabric-strapped sports watches. It’s especially great to not have to think about taking it off for all my various water activities or showers since that’s how I’ve lost or broken watches in the past with all the on/off action. I also like that although it’s sporty and water-resistant it looks nice enough that I don’t feel silly wearing it with my work clothes (I’m a teacher so I’m not in suits, but still other sports watches looked funny). The battery life is somewhat short and I’ve found that replacing the battery costs about as much as a new one so about every 2 years or so I have to replace it (hence only 4 stars), but for $15 that’s not a big deal. I’m on my 5th one (2 have had a slightly different shape but were essentially the same Armitron watch) and feel like I’ve found the perfect everyday watch. I’ve only had one whose resin Seiko SNDC09P1 strap broke, but I had that specific watch for nearly 4 years before that happened.
I bought this watch for normal day-to-day use, so I can’t comment on its water resistance.
Pros: easy to read in outdoor and indoor light
The watch fits comfortably and the profile is small.
Cons: hard to read at night under the orange street lights (go figure)
The strap is very large and I have a relatively small wrist, so I have to use a rubber band to hold the excess strap down. This could be pro or con depending on your wrist size.
The watch was hard to adjust (the knob was really hard to turn), but I haven’t had to adjust it more than once. I wouldn’t want to use this watch if I had to cross time zones all the time though.
I have this watch and wear it for everything, gardening, swimming, gym class, dog bathing… you get the idea. It’s basically bomb proof. When my daughter started college I got her one and told her she was not allowed to take it off, she is a bit time challenged and not too good at keeping track of her stuff… well, her watch lasted the entire 4 years, and she is an avid surfer, so it’s been salt water tested as well!. I bought her a new one in purple, you can’t beat this watch for value, and it fits well on really skinny wrists!
